Elk Hunting with Wildhorse River
|
Our early Bow season for Elk and Mule Deer takes place from Sept. 1st to 9th of every year without an antler restriction. With a great number of good 5 point Bull Elk in the area your chances are as good as with the rifle to harvest yourself a dandy Rocky Mountain Elk.
During rutting activity, bugling or Cow calling can bring them within close Bow range where we have some tree stands to assist with, for better spotting and shooting.
|
Rifle season begins Sept. 10th and ends Oct. 20th with a 6-point antler restriction on Elk, and a 4-point on the Mule Deer.
Our Bulls are as wild as they come and we take Bulls in the 250-340 range.

Our hunts are conducted by horseback, 4x4, ATV and backpacking for day trips. We try to coordinate your hunt according to your physical ability, and therefore choose the right camp for you to enjoy your hunt to the fullest and to maximize your success.
It is one of the few spots left in North America where hunters can hunt trophy class Elk in the rut with the rifle.
