Shiras Moose Hunting with Wildhorse River
Our Shiras moose hunting in the Wildhorse is exceptional with most trophies taken ranging from 45 - 53 inches with 100% success rate over the last 10 years. We hunt the mature Bulls only late in the season, where your chances for a trophy Mule deer are excellent as well. During this time, most of the Bull Moose have already congregated in small bachelor groups.

Some of the Cows, which have not been bred in the first rut, come into 2nd oestrogen and can often bring several Bulls at once. This is an exciting and enjoyable hunt with a lot of action every day, so if you want to secure a spot in the Boone & Crockett Class, book now!
Only limited permits are available. Bow hunting is also available from the start of the general season September 10 of each year. Rifle season starts only October 25.
